Why do we ask for an EIN?

Your organization’s EIN and legal name help us find and review its public nonprofit records. An EIN by itself does not confirm tax-exempt status. We may request supporting documents before approving a partnership.

Our tax-exempt status is still pending.

You can tell us that in the form. For a fiscally sponsored project, enter your sponsor’s legal name and EIN, and explain the relationship in your mission. We’ll review the details before determining eligibility.

What happens after we apply?

Your request goes to our team for review. We’ll use the contact information you provide to discuss your organization and next steps. If we can help, we’ll outline the scope and any costs before work begins.
